After training 2 months for the Chicago Marathon, my girlfriend and I successfully ran 10 miles around the Charles River in Boston, MA. We are both athletes and runners but this was our first marathon experience.
Super Foods for Breakfast
This morning I enjoyed a delicious breakfast of colors: mangoes, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, peaches, cherries and raw granola with peanut butter.
Two things make me excited about starting out my day with such “yumminess.” I feel satisfied after one plate and I have the fuel I need until lunch. I enjoy feeling full, yet light and not weighed down like I entered a lethargic food coma after eating. It is amazing how much fruit energizes your day and fills you up with powerful antioxidants and micronutrients. Fruits are definitely super foods toward healthy living!
